"BELLA" (from A Christmas Carol) comes late in the first act. Thanks to the magic of The Ghost of Christmas Past, we've travelled back to Ebenezer Scrooge's youth. At his boss, Mr Fezziwig's, Christmas Jig and Celebration, Scrooge quite literally bumps into Bella, Fezziwig's fiercely independent, intelligent (and gorgeous) niece and, as all young people must, they instantaneously fall in love.
Magically we're transported five years into the future where we find Bella hanging a few meager Christmas decorations around the offices of Scrooge and Marley's. We find that, though he proposed 4 years ago, Scrooge has made no move to seal the deal. We also see a very different Bella who, after years of waiting, has grown distant from the girl she once was.
